It is always best to use a liquid cover  in conjunction with a Solar Pool Cover. Leave you cover on during the week, & take it off Saturday morning so that the pool can be used for the weekend. Put the cover back onto the pool Sunday evening.

By having a liquid cover with a pool cover, the cover can be left off over the weekend, when not swimming, the liquid pool cover 'bonds' together per se helping to save a little evaporation.
