12. Backwash and Rinse filter, then run system on “filter” at normal times. Bring a water sample into PoolWise for testing. Let the staff know that you have completed a green pool restoration using a green pool pack. This is important to properly balance the pool after the treatment. |
Use STARVER following a Green Pool Treatment. This removes the excesses of Phosphates that have built up in the pool because it was green. (Leaving a high level of phosphates dramatically increases the likelihood of recurrent green pools.)
IMPORTANT: Find out WHY the pool went green. Check the following items:
Salt Chlorinator - Check that the chlorinator is working, timer is okay, Salt cell reading is high. Check the cell in not caked with calcium build up.
Chemigem - Probe is clean, Valves are functioning, Display is consistent with test results.
Pump - Not overheating or fused. Basket free of leaves & not split. O Rings lubricated with silicone (not vaseline) & in good condition. Impeller not blocked.
Skimmer Basket - Free of leaves & not split. Check wall sides not cracked.
